Dr. Sabri Al-Azazi is a technologist and a scientist with over 16 years of experience in the IT and Information Security industries. He brings a broad and diverse level of expertise to his organizations. Currently, Dr. Al-Azazi is the Senior Advisor for IT and Technology at the General Management Office of the Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM). Dr. Al-Azazi moved to ADM from Dubai Holding, where he served as Chief Information Officer of Dubai Holding for five years. Prior to this, he was Chief Operations officer of EHDF (a security services subsidiary of TECOM Investments). Additionally, he worked in different key and executive technology roles in prestigious organizations in the country including Etisalat and Zadco, the UAE Army’s IT systems unit. Dr. Al-Azazi is an adjunct professor at both the American University of Sharjah and the University of Wollongong in Dubai, teaching Information Security. In addition, he is a visiting researcher at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom where he is currently researching quantum electrodynamic theory and fields such as quantum computer computations and quantum cryptography. Dr. Al-Azazi attained his Ph.D. in early 2008 from the School of Applied Sciences at Cranfield University in Great Britain, based on his thesis ‘A multilayer model for e-government information security assessment.’ He holds an Executive MBA from the American University of Sharjah and a Bachelors degree from Washington State University in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He was the first UAE National to attain the highly-prized CISSP (Certified Information Security Systems Practitioner) professional certification and holds a range of professional certifications in ICT such as ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Certified Engineer and as well as having attended top management courses from University of Cranfield and Swiss business school IMD.
